Procurement and Supply

In the history of management, the procurement function has never developed more rapidly than the last decade. as the function developed, concepts and approaches such as supply management, strategic sourcing and supply chain management were developed.

Public procurement officials are confronted with these new developments when doing business with the private sector. Also, there is pressure on public institutions to embrace the new approaches to efficiently manage their finances, in particular their procurement functions, which is evident from the Public Finance Management Act, Preferential Procurement Regulations and the Supply Chain Management Framework.

This aims to present the new approaches to the management of the procurement functions – within the public procurement and private sector environment.
