HIE-EMR-HIT-HER-ARRA? It’s the Alphabet Soup of Healthcare Reform! Whatever your role in the provision of healthcare, you need to be aware of healthcare reform. This new course will make it clear, from the impacts and considerations of HIPAA, to understanding the funding provided by ARRA and the value of EMR and HIE. Prerequisite Courses:
There is no prerequisite for this module if taken alone; some experience in a medical office or knowledge of basic medical office terminology is recommended. The minimum requirement for participation in the complete Healthcare Management Certificate program is an associate’s certificate from a technical school, college or university, or equivalent experience.
