Assessment

Date, 15 March 2017

Participants are required to attend at least 90% of online sessions which are allocated to discuss study units in each level. The interaction and working on group activities during the session is considered part of the formative (ongoing) assessment.

There is an assignment for each unit to motivate participants to reflect on their situation and apply what they learn from the session and reading materials, as demonstrated in the unit study guide. Assignments are variable in size depending on the unit topic. It is preferred to submit the assignment shortly after the session, but we give a grace period of 4 weeks after the end of all sessions of each level before moving to the next one to fulfill all submissions.

Participants are requested to submit a total of 12 assignments for the Certificate level (8 core and 4 options) and 12 more for the level (8 core and 4 options). Candidates are requested to submit only 2 assignments and a dissertation with a minimum of 15,000 words, based on their research proposal. Tutors will help candidates while working on their research projects. All dissertations should be ready for review by external examiners with no later than 6 months from the date of enrollment to the level.
